New Hope Worship: On Earth as in Heaven

Interested in joining the team? We’ve love to hear from you. Here’s what you can expect throughout the audition process.

General Instructions:

Please sign up for a scheduled audition slot. We allow 20-30 minutes for each auditionee, and we will provide 1-2 songs for you to prepare.

Be prepared to demonstrate proficiency on your voice and/or your audition instrument, and please be ready with the songs we’ve given you to prepare.

Remember to be prepared to answer a few questions about your walk with God and to share your heart for musical worship, both personal and corporate.

All musicians will be provided charts and audio files to prepare a few days prior to the audition.

You will be contacted after the initial audition with our feedback regarding any next steps.

When you arrive for your scheduled audition, we will talk a bit and then get you singing. Don’t be nervous. Just dive right in.

We may quickly check your vocal range and lead you through a few vocal exercises to allow you some time to warm up.

We can accompany you as you sing, or an acoustic guitar and keyboard will be available should you want to accompany yourself.

Electric guitarists should bring their guitar, a cable, a pedalboard, and possibly an amp.

Bassists should bring their bass, a cable, and any pedals they prefer.

Drummers should bring sticks. (Drum kit provided) All potential drummers will be required to learn our musical software.

A keyboard will be provided for those auditioning on keys. (Yamaha CP-88 for piano, and midi-controller powered by mainstage for pad/synth/etc.) Keyboardists may choose to bring their own laptop and music software program to run sounds, loops, etc.
