Your decision to be baptized in water is a public declaration that you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life and as a child of God you are following Jesus’ last instructions to his disciples in Matthew 28:19 & 20 to "baptize people in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."
Matthew 28:19 & 20
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Acts 2:38
And Peter said to them, 'Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'"
Acts 10:48
And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to remain for some days."
Matthew 3:16
And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him."
Acts 8:38
“And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him.
Acts 2:38
“And Peter said to them, 'Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'”
Romans 6:6–10
We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin. Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God."
2 Corinthians 5:!7
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."
We were not created to live life alone, but to be connected to one another. Connection to other believers helps us find our God – given potential, find freedom, and it is where we will grow! Jesus shared his life with others and so should we! The best way to find connection at New Hope is through Groups. Let us help you find the right fit for you!

We have a variety of unique groups which all meet at different times and have their own unique vibe. However, in every group you will find friendly people, hope filled conversation, a time to pray for needs, and in most cases really good food!

Take a look at our current groups to see which one fits you best.
A Serve Team is a group of incredible people that have discovered their gifts and passions and are actively serving in them. Whether it is creating a comfortable environment by serving on the First Impressions Team, leading the next generation to Jesus on a Student Ministries Team, or leading a Small Group, Serve Teams are a comprised of people who are passionately advancing the Kingdom of God.
Start your journey in finding and fulfilling your God-given potential. In Starting Point, you’ll learn more about what it means to know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference.
Starting Point is also where you can become a member of NHC and begin your journey of taking next steps!Starting point is offered in a 2 part class during Sunday morning service. We would love for you to join us for our next series of Starting Point.
